I'm glad you found something that was more affordable. Nick and I went through the same thing when we first started talking about getting married. He insisted he couldn't propose with anything smaller than 2 karats. I told him he was ridiculous and that I didn't care about things like that. Finally we went over to this antique jewelry store near our apartment and found an amazing old ring that was in our budget. I couldn't be happier!
