My precious..

So-thanks so much to all of you for helping me come to my bridesmaid decisions.  We are going with the boots.  I'm so thrilled with my decision, and all the maids seem pretty excited too.  I still have to decide on the dresses, but we have time for that.

On to other things!  I fell in love with this bouquet 2 years ago when I saw my mom's boss's son's wedding pictures (follow me?)
I am O-B-S-E-S-S-E-D.
I emailed the picture to a friend of our family who is very into flowers.  She told me the flower is called a Protea.  However, I cannot seem to find them online.  The closest thing I found on google image search was this?
It's really not the same, huh.  Hmm.
So now my mission is to find these flowers.  Aren't they cool?  And won't they look great with these bouts?

Feathers are a great way to go! I made the bouts and corsages for my sister's recent New Year's Eve wedding and they were beautiful. Let me know if you'd like to see the photos.

I know I'm a little late with my comment, but I remembered seeing those flowers on fiftyflowers.com (I'm thinking of ordering from them cause I plan on DIYing my flowers. Here's a link: http://www.fiftyflowers.com/product/Protea-Fresh-Tropical-Flower_87.htm

It gives a description of the flower. HTH!

What? Brittany are you kidding me? Do you know that the Protea is South Africa's national flower? And our cricket team is called the Proteas?!?!?!? That is such a beautiful coincidence that you love them so! And I know for a fact that they grow them in California, so happy hunting!

PS there are like a hundred different species of proteas so yeah, you'd need pictures before ordering!
