I heard it happens....
The lull between frantically booking vendors and planning details-and the actual wedding.
It's true. I'm in it now. And I am B-O-R-E-D.
We are almost 6 months away from our wedding.
And there is nothing to do.
Which makes this girl sad.
Here are a few details I'm excited about including in our reception...
Flip flop basket (cuter basket) with something cute like "kick off your heels and dance"
Pashmina basket with something like, "snuggle up and stay warm"
This one is super cute.
I need a new hobby. Or I need to start planning other peoples weddings. I love it way too much for my own good. And I'm already sad for the planning to be over.
I'm a freak.
When I get engaged I will turn to you for advice and will need some ideas... how does that sound? :)
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you are talking about!! I wish I had more weddings to plan too, one just isn't enough...haha. I don't get how people can get tired of this.
ReplyDeleteYour reception ideas look fabulous!
you think you are bored now wait til you get back from your honeymoon then you really have nothing to do!
ReplyDeleteI love these ideas. I'm desperate to provide "kick off your shoes and dance" flip-flops, but... the budget is stretched so tight, I think it may burst.
ReplyDeleteOh, and yes, you're right, my dear... something about R.L.'s voice makes him sound like you've been listening to him your whole life.
I hear ya! I actually did start helping my friend with her wedding during the lull!
ReplyDeleteWe are 5 months out and I definitely hit that lull at about the 6 month mark and it drove me crazy! If you have any DIY projects left to work on definitely take advantage of the lull because things do pick back up!
ReplyDeletePS- love the pashmina and flip flop basket ideas! Very cute!
I know exactly how you feel but girl, don't sit around bored at the six month mark! I did and now there are a million things to do and less than 40 days left to do them in. Start on the not-so-fun stuff, like the timeline and locations for the photos the day-of, your list of stuff to pack (dress, garter, veil, vows, rings, etc.), your day-of schedule. And if you're going to have programs and can possibly get them done now, do it. I am so glad I already have the programs done because I know so many girls who finished theirs the night before the wedding. There's stuff to do... it just isn't quite as fun :)
ReplyDeleteI love the Pashmina basket. I know when my sister-in-law got married there were more then a few who would have welcomed a blanket. Great idea!
ReplyDeletePS: I wish I had some magic hair growing technique besides don't cut it...but I don't.
ReplyDeletei had seen the flip flop idea, but never the blanket! what a fabulous idea for an outdoor wedding!
ReplyDeleteThis ideas are very unique, especially the blanket stuff. Thanks for sharing your great idea!
ReplyDeleteI am in the detail crunch time and miss the detail planning time. Enjoy it and plan your time wisely. I love the flip flop idea, I might just have to steal it...
ReplyDeleteI feel like you wrote this for me! That's EXACTLY how I feel right now, and we're 6 months from our wedding! I keep telling people that I'm going to turn into a wedding planner just so I can continue with the wedding goodness. Oh, and love the blog, too! =)
ReplyDeleteGreat site. A lot of useful information here. I’m sending it to some friends!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing all the wedding stuff again, and the neinie blogs
