Very cool new tool...

So, I was just browsing around EAD, and I came across a contest that I DESPERATELY want to win!  It is for a Laura Hooper personalized map.  I have been in love with these maps and was going to have my very talented Uncle recreate one for me.  However, if I win this contest, he won't have to.

Anyway, when I read that I would have a better chance of winning if I created a wedding map through Project Wedding, I thought I might as well.  I'm so glad I did!  This map is awesome, and I already added it to our website for guests to view.  I'm worried about folks getting lost up there in the mountains, so this will hopefully help out a lot.

I am also very happy to report that we have chosen our invitations!  I found them on etsy through her, and I fell in love immediately.  I received the sample I ordered, and it is everything I hoped it would be (and the price is incredible also!).  Check her out-
Here is the original:
Here is our version.  We are still going to tweak the wording, but notice how she added a bird to the tree for me?  Cute, huh??  I love love love it! (sorry for the crappy lighting and iPhone shot)
I hope everyone had a lovely weekend.  Vince and I are keeping the kids until Wednesday (my bosses went to Vail on Saturday morning) so we are in full parent mode, and it's exhausting but fun!

A Two Post Kinda Day

FIRST of all-the lovely Catherine at "It's a Party, Lets Wear Hats" has finished our 5 custom made flower girl dresses.  Here is a picture she sent me today of one of them.  I'm so excited and I cannot wait to see the sweet girls in their fairy dresses!
Second...
I have found the inspiration for our invitations:
Aren't they adorable?!  I would want two birds in the tree, though.

Cute, huh!?

Shoes...invitations...photographers...OH MY!!

I am proud to announce to anyone who will listen...
We are hiring the most INCREDIBLE photographers in the ENTIRE world!  Below is David Banks and Kendrick Brinson.  They work for Our Labor of Love, and have agreed to be our photographers!  I am beyond excited about working with them because I truly believe they are the most talented photographers I've ever seen.  YAY!
This is an invitation sample that I am really digging.  It's from minted.com and I'm just loving the simplicity of it.  I'm sure Heather will be able to help us come up with something beautiful and simple like this one...
And now for the biggest worry I have had yet.  Shoes.  You see, here's the thing...
I'm not a big shoes girl...(pause for gasps...)
I'm just not!  When walking around our venue-I knew I would not be wearing heels on my wedding day.  The venue is so casual and outdoorsy and there will be a bit of walking on cobblestones and grass etc.  I want to be COMFORTABLE!  My original thought was to wear cowboy boots because of this shot
found here via here

However, I'm not exactly a cowboy boot kinda girl either.
I am a THIS shoe kinda girl.
And it's sold out.
Of course it is.

M.I.A.

Hello my sweet friends.  Oh how I have been missing you so!  I have been so busy and consumed with thoughts that I have not had the time or the words to sit down and blog.  However, I am getting so tired of looking at my last post, I just decided to suck it up and put something new up!
I am-of course-trapped in a fantasy world as I finish the Twilight series.  I am almost finished with Breaking Dawn, and then I pray that my life and my thoughts will go back to normal!  All I can think of are these books when I'm in the midst of them.

Here are some pictures that are making me happy right now...
I am in love with everything about this picture below.  The peonies, her hair, her dress, the monogram on her bouquet.  So beautiful.  I have no idea where it's from!

I am addicted to this photo.  The ring is similar to mine (well, the one I will be getting in a few weeks, according to Vince)
I came across this awesome picture taken from a farm wedding here in Georgia.  The bride is from here.
I want to do the s'mores bag so badly!
Ok, I have never felt as strongly about an invitation as I do this one.  I love everything about it.  I think sweet Heather over at We Met in a Bar will have to make something similar for us!
Sorry I'm not more talkative tonight darlings, I'm so overwhelmed with my research paper, getting engaged soon, losing weight, and other things.  I promise to be back to normal soon!
