Let them be SEXY!

We have chosen a bridesmaid dress!
Bridesmaid Shelly and I were having some cocktails on the patio of a restaurant yesterday.  It was 70 degrees and sunny here, and a perfect day for patio drinking!  We started looking up bridesmaid dress ideas, and we found the winner!!
It's so perfect!
It's from here and all of the girls love it.
Three are wearing it in brown, and three in this green color:

All 6 of my girls are absolutely gorgeous inside and out, and these dresses are going to have them look SMOKIN'!

We finished addressing our save the dates, and they are going in the mail today.  I have to say, I'm so excited to hear responses when people receive them, but I'm also sad to see them go out the door.  They are so pretty!

Some random thoughts...

Save the Dates are going out this weekend!
I'm so excited to have this project behind us, and I cannot wait to hear what everyone thinks of them as they receive them.  The lovely Heather from We Met in a Bar designed and printed them for us with so much love.  If you have any need for an honest, easy going, hard working graphic designer, she is your girl.  Thanks again Heather, you're the best!

I ordered my ticket this morning for the Not Wedding here in Atlanta.  It should be a lot of fun, and I'm going with two other engaged girlfriends.  I'm also excited because our photographers will be there!

I am also super excited about getting my new headphones in the mail.  I ordered them from Overstock, and they were super affordable.  The ear buds that come with the iPhone really hurt my ears, and it effects my workout because I'm constantly adjusting them.  I can't wait to try these.

Last but certainly not least-I'm about to run to Barnes and Noble to get the newest Jodi Picoult book.  It sounds amazing, you can read the synopsis here.
Even more exciting is the fact that she is coming to my area next week, and it's free!  I'm going to meet her, and get her to sign my book.  I think she'll also be doing a Q&A, which I can't wait to hear.  If you love reading, I promise you her books will never disappoint.  I'm hoping we'll do one in the new online book club that Jane is starting!

I hope you're all having a wonderful week.  I cannot believe it's already Thursday!

Save The DATES!!!

So the wonderful, talented, sweet, hardworking Heather over at We Met in a Bar
has been working so hard for the last month making our save the date invitations.  She has been a dream to work with, and I'm so happy with how they turned out.  We haven't sent them out yet, so I didn't want to put the final product on here, but here are all the pieces unassembled.

This is the print on the front of the card.  It says, "he got down on one knee and she said YES."
This is the gorgeous Saffron color that Heather found on Mountain Cow
I got in touch with Julie over at Boutieque.
She did our return address labels for our Christmas cards, and I just loved working with her.
She has come up with something fantastic for our Save the Dates...we chose the one on the right.  It will say my parents names and address...

This is the color of the envelopes.  My mom is going to write with her gorgeous handwriting on them with a metallic pen...
And finally....the best stamp option out there....
Luckily it's our colors...
So there you have the pieces of our save the dates!  I think they turned out wonderfully, and highly recommend working with Heather for any of your graphic design/photo editing needs.  She rocks!

Things going on with me...

This has been such a crazy week!  I have been (for the first time in my life) incredibly diligent with my workouts and eating super healthy.  Let me tell you something friends-it is WORTH IT!  I feel amazzzzzzzzzzzzzing.  I pop out of bed in the morning.  I skip up stairs, and I'm not hungry!  I eat when I feel hungry, but my body isn't craving crap anymore.  I feel so good, and I'm so motivated after my 3 pound loss this week.  I can't wait until next Wednesday and I hope to see some more numbers drop!
-My favorite low point meal this week?  Chicken breasts in the crockpot covered in salsa and then served with black beans, cilantro, cumin and a little fat free sour cream.  DELICIOUS!

So other than totally changing my lifestyle-I have been working on my research paper that I need to graduate with my bachelors.  It's a long story, but I have been out of college for 2 years and only had one class to finish in order to graduate.  I had almost given up on ever doing it, but with a push from my parents and Vince, I reenrolled, and I'm almost finished!  I'm doing my research on stay at home mothers and their happiness with their life.  I might be asking you readers to help me so stay tuned....

I have ALSO been working with the oh-so-wonderful Heather over at we met in a bar.  She is making our save the dates for us, and I am so excited with what she has come up with already.  If anyone is in the market for invitations-she is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G to work with.

My mom and I finalized our guest list last night, and I feel really good about it.  We were fairly cut throat about who we wanted to be there.  I am confident that we will succeed in our desire to be surrounded by our closest family and friends.  Not strangers.

Now I leave you with some images that have made me SO happy this week:

These necklaces for my bridesmaids:
The idea of having a "tie tree" where guys can hang their ties at the reception.  The sign will read, "fellas, loosen up that tie and RELAX!"
This image from tying the knot.  She has totally sold me on the idea of matching socks for the boys.
This image again from tying the knot.  I just adore it.
And this just makes me smile.  (not sure where I found it)
HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND, LOVELIES!
